Hey Guys, sorry if this has already been shared, but I saw it tonight and wanted to make sure you all saw this. I had a rough time as a teen, but I held my head up high and tried to be as happy as possible. And, it DOES get better, it really does! This is a little long, but worth the watch! I bet thousands of kids are feeling better after watching this, and I am sure that he has stopped more kids from killing themselves.

That was very moving. Thank you for sharing this.

You are right, this is the best one I have seen. It is by far the most honest and sincere video I have seen. Amen to Joel Burns, you are awesome!

I do think this is the best one I have seen. My heart breaks for those kids that are living through this right now. I love kids and I wish there was something I could do to help them.

It's gone viral. They guy made CNN, and it was a great video. He's put himself on the national stage and will benefit from this personally and professionally.

I would vote for the guy in a second after that. One nice thing are the positive comments on the CNN story. Usually things like that bring out the haters in hordes, even on CNN. This guy got alot of support.

Very moving, indeed. Saw this at the coffeehouse yesterday and had to hold myself back from tearing up. I love how viral it got on Facebook overnight.

    After watching this...

Please pull your GAY TEENS OUT OF SCHOOL if they are being harassed!!!

With recent light being shone on gay teens committing suicide, I suddenly realized something that happened to me that I hope to spread the message for other parents to do.

My mother actively sought to pull me out of high school. I'm not sure the exact details on what happened, but between her and my high school counselor, they took me out of high school after the end of 10th grade and pushed me straight into community college. I'm not sure how much of this was due to my intellect (was in honors), or how much was due to the fact that I was harassed for being gay in 10th grade. But I'm pretty damn grateful this happened. I never got to the point of being suicidal, but I know if I had stayed in high school some terrible shit would have happened. The end of 10th grade reached culmination, as I successfully outran two separate incidents of homophobes waiting for me at my house when I came home from school.

So yeah, you have the option of PULLING your kids OUT of school. Most school districts are incompetent and it's best you put your child's mental well-being in your own hands than rely on a bunch of aloof school legislators.

YOUR MOTHER IS A ROCK STAR!!! God Bless her and may she somehow be a role model for the millions of parents who are so often stuck in their own pyschological noise that they forget that the protection of the children they brought into the world must come first (yes they must be aware of what is going on with them). I know it is ideal but these two example can give us hope.

That was so powerful, he gives me hope for the future, for a politician to be so honest.
