Gavin Rossdale, the lead singer of British band Bush, has confirmed he did have a gay fling in the 80s. Rumors about the fling, with British cross-dressing singer Marilyn (a.k.a. Peter Robinson), started in 1995 when former Culture Club singer Boy George made mention of it in his autobiographical book.

Rossdale denied the affair initially and for years since, but in the November 2010 issue of Details magazine, he confirmed that it was true.

Rossdale is married to singer Gwen Stefani, with whom he has two sons.

To me, that has about the same relevance as a gay man saying he did a woman once, way back when.

If you're saying it's insignificant, I agree. So I don't know why he's so adamantly denied it for so many years.

He says he was 17 at the time.

He denied it because it's "gay."
Now he's admitting it because he knows people won't give a fuck anymore...except the celeb gossip followers.
