A press is essential in gymnastics and diving. Being that I have no upper body strength, I find it incredibly hard to do a press into a handstand. I can kick up to one and hold it pretty well, but going from a neutral stance and pressing up into a hand stand is almost impossible for me.

I spoke with a diving coach about it and he said that is has mostly to do with balance and not strength, but I have great balance...

Can anyone here do a press? And if you can, how do you go about training to learn and be able to do one? I want to learn to dive on the tower, but I can't do a press, that and I just want to be able to do one.
