I shaved my head 2 inches on the top & an inch on the side cause most of the guys at the gym has the same haircut. Now its getting cold and I want to grow it back. icon_biggrin.gif

Here in Vancouver it seems like everybody has already tried out every single ridic hairstyle they could come up with. So I'm waiting for this style to make a comeback from the 12th century:

I love a shaved head! I'm a bit partial to it, IMHO.

How cold could it be? You live in West Hollywood, not Fargo. But if you are looking for a change, I suggest a cut like Vyvyan's from The Young Ones.

Ok... first off all those pics are fucking funny as hell!!!!icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Seriously, i'm a hair stylist, and men are having longish hair. Think of Hugh Jackman, or the main werewolf from True Blood, Alcid. It's nice to see guys with some hair.I'm so tired of that shaved head look even though I think it's very sexy on the right guy. Instead of the prison break look, they are going back to the rugged outdoor look. Very Hot.

All the straight guys at my gym have the "shaved head with Mohawk strip in the middle that tapers to a point in the back" look. I have to admit they look hot, and Ive been wanting to try it myself, but it doesn't look so good when you work in a professional office setting.

Try a casual faux-hawk. The hair on the top of your comes together at a peak, but there's no strip in the back. The back and sides are trimmed short or even faded. Keep the top between 2 and 3 inches for a nice clean look. The shorter it is, the easier it is to change the style up a little.

With the right face the fauxhawk is extremely hot...

    agree!

the problem with having long(er) hair is that few guys have thick enough hair to do it well; and those who do seldom wash/condition/style it correctly. icon_eek.gif

No no no. This is all wrong. Nothing says douchebag like fauxhawk. "Let's shove all of our hair into a peak, and don't forget to bleach the fringe for that extra bit of humor!"

Guys always look good with haircuts that are, I don't know... nice? Next you'll tell me to go with the Bieber (which is no more a haircut than a repeated jerk of the neck). Call me old fashioned.

when i left new york a couple of years ago, the "hitlerjunge / schoolboy" cut was pretty much the standard for any guy in his 20s. seems like it still pretty much is... in copenhagen it's basically the same deal, just with a more rockabilly/blowdried flair i guess.

brussels is just... anti-style... lol icon_razz.gif

and the fact that the faux-hawk is still being mentioned as "trendy" is proof that trends take 10 years to cross the united states... *sigh*

Go with short hair or a shaved head if you don't want to waste time on grooming.

Keeping up with the latest haircut trends gets tiring, and it's overrated.

I prefer clean, classic and timeless. Can't go wrong with it.

I agree with you, but I also disagree, because there are good and bad fauxhawks.

Just grow your hair out as long as you can while keeping it professional then throw on a #2 blade and shave a mohowk. Then just shave it off whenever you have to go back to work.

    One rule:

My hair has to be long enough that I can be dragged off by it.
