Pro golfer Tripp Isenhour apologized for killing a hawk that was making noise while he tried to film a TV show. Now the Humane Society wants the PGA Tour to take action.

Some of these guys have egos that are way too big. At least he apologized. Hawks are beautiful and very useful birds. Help keep the population of pesky birds down like grackels.

There are a lot of reactive people out there who would have taken the first one or two shots and then given it a rest, but this guy kept after it for a while until he finally hit the bird. That says a lot about him... a little scary if you ask me.

It was all a Joke to this guy! Now we are suppose to believe he feels remorse, who is kidding!

The only thing that he feels remorse about is that now he is being held accountable for his actions.

UNREAL! I'm also appalled that no tried to stop him...Goodness he's just a golfer not a "HIGHER BEING"!

The article was right about one thing about us Americans "WE DO NOT TOLORATE CRUELTY TO ANIMALS"!

Hitting line drives and a defensless animal...what a Jerk!

This is not an apology for Trip Isenhour's major error...under no circumstnces should he have aimed at the bird, in the off-chance he might harm it; however, I do find it interesting that all of the critics...except Johnny D...do not list golf as one of their sports interests.

While I do not condone what the golfer did, for any golfer to hit the head of a bird at 75 yards is an incredible shot, as well as a mistake (even if he was aiming at it). Golf is not that precise a sport.

I truly believe him when he says he was trying to scare it away, and not to harm it. I feel the cameraman who criticizes his continung "trying to hit the bird" is an idiot, and not a player of the game. Trip is a very nice player, who made a mistake and should not be crucified for his error.
