KentuckyTuss saidYeah... very gross. This guy is injecting saline solution into his arms, chest, and shoulders... it's mostly distilled water, so eventually it will disperse throughout his body, be absorbed, and he'll go back to normal. (It's also a trend for guys to do this to their nutsack... you might have seen it on xtube) The second guy might be photoshooped..
The really sad part is, he's probably perfectly cute when he looks NORMAL.
The second guy is Sagi Kalev of Dallas. Sagi and I used to train together, and, I assure you, the image is altered. I passed it along to him one day. It's pretty pathetic but is what is it.
You are wrong about what is injected, and, about the end result. I.e., you're clueless. It's not saline. It's typically MCT oil, which you can buy anywhere. Sometimes, folks use silicone, too, but, that's not good for you, and most folks know better.
The primary limiting factor in sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is fascia size. Just like a hot dog casing, or a balloon, you can expand that fascia with site injections, and the muscle will grow into that void. The changes are mostly permanent. There are folks that overdo site injections, but, it's very common practice in competitive circles and in folks who make their living based upon their muscular appearance. Lots of guys lie about it, but, it's a routine procedure for many.
Some folks have grossly overdone their site injections and gone beyond a cosmetically pleasing look and end up with 40 inch arms such as Greg Valentino.
Site injection isn't drugs and it's not temporary. The fascia of the muscle is enlarged, the muscle grows into it, and the changes are permanent.
Very few folks at the top of their game haven't used site injection. It's VERY COMMON. That's why we see guys routinely with 20 inch arms and more. Lots of folks do it to bring up what they perceive as their weak points. It's more common in Europe than in The U.S.
That's why, if you want to be big, you have to have an understanding of sarcroplasmic hypertrophy versus being strong. Many folks have no clue as to the science. Hint: keep your reps up if you want to look like a stud. Many folks have no clue how to train.

Whether it's wearing shorts half way down your ass, site injections, botox, being skinny, or whatever, there's always some moron who takes it beyond what most folks would regard as sensible. The first picture on this page illustrates that.
