Your worst workout/period/diet at the gym

When you first went to the gym, you probably weren't all that sure of what you should do, how to begin your workout, what you should eat... share the worst things you've ever done inside the gym, and feel free to include stuff that does not pertain to your actual workout...

I've only gone once to a gym, at 15 almost 16 years old along with my friends. We didn't have an inkling of what the hell we should do exactly.

So my workout basically consisted of...
    1 ) 10 min treadmill
2 ) 5 min lateral push up machine
    3 ) 5 min preacher curls
    4 ) 2 min (max) crunch machine
    5 ) 10 min spin bike
    6 ) 5 min leg extension machine
    7 ) 5 min lat pull downs
    8 ) 5 min leg abductor

    The fun part...
    9 ) 15 min sauna
    10) 15 min swimming pool
    11) 20-30 min sauna

And now... the worst bit ever after such a useless unplanned workout... which will probably frighten the s*** out of you...
    12) 2 slices of pizza from nearest pastizzeria shop

Now I've seen the error of my ways, and will hopefully repent with the "Strength Foundation" workout. icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gificon_razz.gificon_wink.gif

No no, just an estimate of how much time I spent on each exercise. I was doing 20 reps/3 sets of each, or else I would rep till fatigue.

Barely no idea what I was doing, at least now I know MUCH better! icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gificon_razz.gificon_wink.gif

Worst period....my first year of Med School i shortened my workouts by eliminating cardio and cutting one set off from each exercise. My diet also went down the toilet. Y'all dont need to be told what that resulted in.

I fixed it though by changing my gym timings and going every day to the gym so i dont have to stay there as long each time i go while still being able to do my workouts justice.

Yes, but other than the fact that we're miles away from each other, the pizza so too yummy to give up! icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gificon_razz.gificon_wink.gif

Tendonitis in my right front head of the deltoid made for some really bad workouts. Normally it's my right side that's the strongest and the muscles on the left have to work to catch up. Not this time. I had to stop bench pressing and took up the pec dec fly so as not to aggravate that deltoid. Military presses were OK but front raises and the lateral raises were completely out. It's always something.
