Yea, I know some of you are going to be disappointed. icon_biggrin.gif

Just wanted to share some photos of the snowfall here in KY from last night to this morning. May not be a big deal to some, but we don't get snow like this often.

    Great PICS!

Here I sit in Columbus, OH,
We have a BLIZZARD WARNING right now!
I have lost my ruler in the snow and now use a yardstick to measure the snow...21.4 inches so far and counting! Winds are blowing up to 45 mph and drifts are really wild have seen some about 5 feet high...
Columbus doesn't seem to get that it is in "OHIO" and absolutely FREAKS when we get 2" of snow....Columbus acts like we are in Atlanta or some other southern city that gets snow very rarely...hard to believe the total ass kicking this storm is giving us! Pisses me off, cutting into my gym time this weekend! I'm a native of the CLEVELAND snowbelt and this is just another snowstorm for me.... certainly doesn't hold a candle to the "White Hurricane of 1978" or the "Superstorm of 1993" or the late April snowstorms of 1982 or even an average lake effect event.... I'm a little jaded, guess that's why I keep at leat one 4X4 at all times.....thanks to experiences in "the snowbelt"!
Keep warm and be safe...Take care!icon_cool.gif

    blizzard warning... crazy!

i called the gym this morning, not surprised, closed. everything has practically shut down and next to jessica simpson coming to town for derby, this is the next 'biggest' thing. icon_lol.gif

staying indoors, painting, downloading tunes, most all i can do. will get out in a bit and go for making a few snow angels icon_biggrin.gif

Well I am glad that some other part of North America is getting hammered with lots of snow. Toronto is getting a blizzard today that could dump up to 8 inches of the stuff.

Only some "snow cub" like Chewey_Delt could possible be happy with so much of this stuff. Toronto will probably go over 200 cms. for the season this weekend making it one of the snowiest winters ever (1938-39 had over 230 cms.).

For Americans 200 cms. is almost 7 feet.

I swear I won't gloat that it was 80 degrees today and has been sunny and warm since---oh, 1627 or so.

I PROMISED my mother I would stop gloating. "It's a bad habit," she told me.

We set the official Columbus record for our alltime biggest single storm snow at 21".....I got 25.5" at my house.....I never got to the gym...they were closed like everything else, so I shoveled snow for about 6 hours in place of my regular workout. Ended up shoveling out my drive, sidewalk and the neighbors sidewalks and driveways, the deck on the back of my house, as well as a large part of the street in from of my house for parking my trucks. I ended up with piles that were about 6 feet tall, and goes for about 250 feet....I guess I got "it" out of my system....hope the gym is open tomorrow, I broke the handle on my shovel!icon_lol.gif

Disappointed? You betcha! Especially since I thought the 14 inches was the size of some guy's cock. Ohhhh, a man can dream, can't he?

Thanks for the great comments on the photos - I'm still surprised by how much snow fell. The sun managed to find it's way out this afternoon. Definitely beautiful, but it can't melt fast enough. At least the dog had a blast digging and hopping around in the white stuff.

Never had Snow in Bodrum only a few flakes on the high ground a couple of Februarys ago but that was rare!

Snow makes me happy, and so even though I will have to dig my car out tomorrow, I enjoyed the day here in Columbus, 20" of snow and all ... but at least I live across the street from a grocery store .... and SportyG, I didn't have to shovel, thankfully, since I live in an apartment. I grew up in the snowbelt, so it brought back some nice memories.

I also saw some people making good use of their cross country skis, and one guy even had a snowmobile that he was riding up and down the streets! I'll bet he was so incredibly happy for the snowfall! I mean, when else in central Ohio can you use a snowmobile?

No I would rather have a frostbitten asshole in Kansas than a weekend at Mar a Lago with the Donald.

We never ever got snow in Malta. icon_sad.gif The closest thing to snow that we ever got was one cold February day where its hailed really heavily, so much that the ice looked like snow, but we never saw snow fall from the sky. Only in nearby countries did it snow at least once, eg. Israel.
