    Yes.
Clearly some teabaggers are even more anti-gay than the rest of the Republican party is.

No, while there are anti-gay people in the tea party movement it is not a party about being against gay people, it has to do with solving much bigger issues like our debt, debt that will be impacting young people the most.

I think you answered your question there. Some are anti gay like some Blacks are, some Southern Baptist are, some Catholics are, some Jes are, some Muslims are and on and on. The only group of people I can clearly say all or most are are groups like the KKK where hatred for anyone non caucasian/straight is embeded in the foundation.

It's mainly to solve the debt issue that's being handed down to my generation, but not EVERYONE is against it; however, there is a large amount that have been known to be anti-gay.

Individual tea baggers might not be, but nearly every Tea Party candidate is. And many of them are racist, anti-choice and religious fundamentalists, so not good for gay people. Plus I've yet to see one of them have a clue about the economy.

You refer to the presence of anti-gay sentiment in racial and religious groups.
That has nothing to do with the issue.

The issue is that the POLITICAL group that calls itself the "Tea party" has an anti-gay agenda.
Just like the POLITICAL group that is the Republican party has an anti-gay agenda.

Racial and religious groups don't elect representatives to power who make decisions and effect policy that can have a negative impact on the rights and lives of gay Americans.
POLITICAL groups like the Tea party and the Republican party CAN and DO.

In fact, Republican politicians have been screwing gay Americans for decades.

    Some are, some aren't.

Usually- I disagree with SB on a lot of cases, but this time, I don't.

It just (unfortunately) comes with the whole package- social conservatism goes with fiscal conservatism in this country for the most part. (and yes- I do know about the Log Cabin Republicans, thank you)

The Tea Party is anti-brain. They are like pithed science experiments, running around in circles spewing lies and misinformation.

A large percentage of Tea Partiers are anti-gay and racist, but then many liberal democrats that loudly proclaim to be pro equality for gays and other minorities end up just saying all this good stuff just to get elected into office. Once in office, most of these democrats seem to forget about their campaign promises and even back out of those promises. So either way, gays and other minority groups are still disadvantaged.

Please name the Republican Presidents who have been for it. Or even the incumbent Republican leaders who are. Versus those who are all opposed to it. In one.. two.. three...

Oh, nobody Republican for it? That's what I thought. icon_razz.gif

The Tea Party movement is a reactionary movement. It's based on emotion - fear expressed as anger.

Figures you two old hens would have to put your two cents in...

    Yeah, "advertising for sex".... right.

And I already explained (though I owe nobody on here any explanation) why I am in Los Angeles this month.

As for age.... I have no idea what you're talking about. I put my age / dob in when I signed up just like everyone else, so if their site isn't calculating current age properly, not my fault....

Anything else you want to know?

Seems to be more of a deflection than anything else. Someone made an unsupported and unsupportable statement on the tea parties. When you asked them to cite specifics to back that up, the deflection popped up.
