Running Log - October 27th

    Ran 8 miles on the indoor track. Started out slow because I was trying for a slow run, but got hooked on watching the clock and before I knew it, I was running around 6:45 pace.

    Ended up running 8 miles in 53:40. So not bad but wondering if after a weeks rest I should try some 5K race and see how I can do now. I am thinking that I can get in under 18:30 now.

    So Zox is that a pretty steady pace for you? I ask because now i'm having to run on the treadmill a couple times a week, and i always start out pretty fast but then gradually have to dial it down. i'm wondering if i should just set the treadmill for a steady pace that feels slower at the start...

    i try and squeeze eight miles into one hour on the treadmill (it has a time limit and that's the outer edge of what i can stand to be on it).

    I start slow and build up. I feel like it is easier than burning out in the first mile.
