Ahhh...conservatives. Don't you just love 'em?

Right-wing radio host Michael Savage said in a broadcast this week that being gay is a risk factor for throat cancer, attributing the disease to oral sex between men.
According to Media Matters, he said the following in his Monday broadcast of The Savage Nation:
“Did you hear this? Oral sex between men is bringing about a rise in men's throat cancer, as well as a few other risk factors.

Michael Savage doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to health and wellness issues. I say just ignore that retarded right winger.

This is rather old news (the NEJM article is from 2007). And it doesn't exclude women from getting the same thing from HPV. Just having oral sex or oral/genital sex will do it, so let's ban all oral sex between men/men and men/women and women/women. icon_razz.gif

It's a rare cancer anyway. And hasn't he heard of the HPV vaccine for adolescent girls and young women? (If only the FDA will clear it for males we'll be all set)

    http://www.bcbs.com/news/wellness/researchers-blame-hpv-for-rise-in-throat-cancer.html
The HPV infections likely took root decades ago as the Baby Boomers were reaching adulthood, and only now are spurring a rise in throat cancer cases, mostly among men and women in their 50s.

No one understands the precise reason for the increase, though experts suspect it's linked to changes in sexual practices that emerged in the 1960s and '70s. For example, oral sex is a known risk factor for HPV-related throat cancers, and studies have shown that people who have come of age since the 1950s are more likely to have engaged in oral sex than those who were born earlier.

Wait, isn't there SOME truth to this? Of course it's blown WAY out of proportion by a conservative who deserves my cock in his eye socket, but as a homosexual this IS a risk, just like getting anal cancer from anal warts is also a risk. Albeit small, and not worth making a generalization about, but still something to be noted.

Besides, "conservative" and "lunatic" are pretty much synonymous anyway.

Why is mocktwinkie defending anti-gay conservative lunatics here?

"Conservative" and "lunatic" might be synomynous but jprichva is definitely synomynous with "crabby" and "miserable". Thats no bullshit.
