One of the many reasons I moved from VT to CO was having a larger community, thus a bigger gay community and leather community. I'm really glad it wasn't one of the major reasons I moved here. The people here are cool and all, but nothing beats having friends that you've known for quite a while and have grown to love. So if I HAD moved here just to be around other gay people, then I'd say no, I'm not happier with the decision. Due to the other reasons I moved, then I'd say yes, I'm mostly happy with the decision.
And wouldn't you know it, I'm working on moving out to the mountains to another small town where there will likely be very few gay people around me. To some people, being around other gay people is important. I'm one of the types that doesn't need to be around gay people (or many people) at all to be happy. Maybe it has to do with being introverted?
