The problem here of course is the MUSCULAR NERD may not even identify himself as muscular. And isn't that the best? Glasses are not mandatory....but man they sure do help. You were probably the guy that got beat up in school....now YOU CAN SHOW THEM.,....can't you?

Muscular nerds, come out come out wherever you are. This is your appreciation thread. We are here to pay tribute to you. icon_biggrin.gif

Well let's see.... I've been a computer programmer and a math teacher, I grew up watching Doctor Who and Star Trek, reading comic books and playing video games... and I was never into sports... and I always felt like an outsider. Yeah, I'd say I'm a nerd. The muscles I'm working on. Progress is being made. icon_smile.gif

This reminds me of an Onion article from the early days (sometime 1998-2001, back when you could email the articles to friends and everyone would be shocked because after all, it was right there on the screen with a byline and everything, so it had to be a legitimate news article!) Every once in a while something will remind me of the article title and I chuckle to myself: "Gaywads, Dorkwads Sign Historic Wad Accord".

And yes, every male librarian I've met could definitely qualify as a nerd. One or two of them might even have been heterosexual, as far-fetched as that seems. icon_biggrin.gif

I remember being the first (and only) person in my high school to pass the computer programming AP exam. I used to hate being called a nerd. Now they're too scared I'd hurt them, and I wear my glasses with pride.

Funny though, all the people from back then still call me when they have computer trouble, lol.

    Yep, that's me, I'm a total geek!

I'm the only gym rat who puts Star Trek on the TV while working out at the gym.
