I've even shopped in Asian Markets and I love these little teddy bear cookie things with chocolate inside.

I like Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Faye Wong in asian music. I also like Gackt.

Asian culture can be sooo funny!icon_razz.gif

LOL !!!! Alexander89 !!! "ASIAN THINGS?" "DOES PENIS COUNT?" YOU CRACKED ME UP ON THAT ONE !!! I needed that laugh you gave me !!!!! Now on to something more serious ------ yes I love Asian things, I collect antique Asian pieces. I have oil paintings, paintings on silk, hand carved ivory from the 1800's some Asian pipes from then,(I actually think one was an opium pipe from back then) I have pottery, china, and my favorite is whats know as "CLOISENE" (its enameled ware with the patterns divided with hundreds of little tiny wires braded onto a brass or copper vessel, then filled between each wire with the colors the artist selects, then baked and polished)its beautiful workmaship) and I have quite a few wooden carved statues. LOVE THE STUFF!!! ASIAN ART IS SOME OF THE VERY BEST IN THE WORLD !!!

Taking it a step further i love India and Hindu myth and culture as well.

It has also influenced my fitness regimine in that i practice several classical martial arts, have learned to use many of the classical weapons, and i practice yoga.

I like anime too; took a trip to Japan about a year ago and had a blast.

Just recently found a place nearby that serves good Chinese breakfast. I could not for the life of me find a place in LA that had good 'you tiao' (chinese churro) and I finally found one up here in the Bay Area, at least in the South Bay. And of course onion/scallion pancakes.

As a kid in the 70s and 80s, I was grew up to Japanese shows on American TV like Speed Racer, Kimba The White Lion, Starblazers, G-Force, Godzilla, and Ultraman. I grew up in the San Francisco, so I was exposed at a young age to quality Japanese and Chinese food. And one of my favorite movies of all-time, is Star Wars, which borrows heavily from Japanese design aesthetics, particularly the costuming, and the story borrows many elements from Japanese director Akira Kurosawa,

I also happen to prefer dark-haired guys, so I find Asian guys attractive.

I think by Asia, he implies east Asia. South Asia is considered India, West Asia implied to be the Middle East and Central Asia...is Central Asia.

When we think Asian culture, the first thing that comes to mind is East and Southeast Asia.

I've come to appreciate Javanese and Balinese arts and who doesn't like a nice dose of Thai cuisine and Malaysian curry?

West Asia, Central Asia, and North Asia (Russia) should name something else.

Agreed. How about the Middle East for West Asia, 'The Stans' for Central Asia (most of the countries there end with a -stan anyway) and Russia for North Asia, but isn't it called Siberia already? They take up the whole block anyway.

Thai Green Curry is so nice. Vietnamese coffee is interesting as well.

StrongBolt saidOh I really like...Inuyash, etc.

I loved that anime! Downloaded the whole series and watched it from beginning to end. I know the manga continues on, so maybe I'll get around to that.

Although the animation is so lame, the stories are thoroughly engaging...why can't American cartoons have that serial continuity, depth and cleverness?

Speaking of Asian things. The man of the day (http://www.realjock.com/profile/130936/) just happens to be asian.

There are a lot of cool Asian things out there, but I particularly like the toys out of Japan. They always seem to have better stuff (especially in the detail dept)than the US does even though everything is made in China these days.

    I like our attitude. icon_razz.gif

There is no single Asian (Far Eastern) 'culture', but one thing we do have in common is the significance of family.

Also our outright childishness. icon_lol.gif The way we seldom take anything seriously, finding humor in the absurdest circumstances, the social stigma against rudeness Etc.

Not to put a negative spin on things and darken everyone's Oriental fun, but in this instance a little dialogue and realism are crucial. Check it out this short documentary, and some of you, wake up!

Asia is the world largest continent. Some of the world greatest civilization begin in Asia (China, Iraq/Mesopotamia, India, Persia). A lot of empire, religion , art and culture have its root in Asia. Anyone who never been to Asia miss the best part of the world. I am not saying this because I am Asian but because it the truth. Of course , the other part of the world is as wonderful also. But Asia have more varieties, much more colourful and diverse. Say if you are in the Americas, they pretty much all speak English, Spanish and probably Portuguese , most of them are Christian, and even the food is not much different.

In Asia, you can cross a border of one countries, everything is different . Languange, clothing, food, religion ....no the same anymore. And yes, Asia have a lot of good looking guys
