We both voted early last week.
And before voting, we attended a local candidate appearance at a private home, where each of them spoke. Not a debate per se, but each talked about their positions, goals & platforms.
Then we studied the voter guide our attorney published (himself a prominent gay politician) along with some additional guides from other sources, and of course we were seeing what appeared in the media. We didn't completely agree with any one of these guides, but discussed them between ourselves and blended them. I'm not sure my partner & I even voted identically, that's a private matter about which we don't ask.
We take voting very seriously. We go to the polls prepared, with a list we've made in hand. You can't vote strictly party lines in our district, it's all candidate-by-candidate, and issue-by-issue. So you gotta be educated before you step into the polling station.
I hope you all are equally prepared. Otherwise you are just guessing.
