Finished 4th overall and ran a time of 18:33, which is 5:59 pace!

I was running with the 3rd place guy for most of the race until just around the 2 mile when he started pulling away from me. Some of the race was on trails and I just haven't trained on trails that much.

I felt bad for the teenage boy who was in 2nd who ran off course and by the time he realized where to go, the 3rd place guy caught him and beat him.

They were only about 10 seconds in front of me, but the last stretch of the race had us going around tight corners and over narrow bridges, so I couldn't get a good kick in to catch up.

Definitely a PR for me. At least for me in my 30s. Now after running that I am thinking that I could definitely run under 18 minutes by next year.

Zox, congrats on your time and the run...have been in those kind of races where one runner goes astray and winds up losing because of it...7 minute miler here and looking to break that..usually in top 5 for my age group though...have a good run..
