A lot of psychos definitely rely on their physical attractiveness to accomplish their "deeds." For instance, do you think Ted Bundy would have been able to kill as many women as he did if he weren't an attractive guy?

Also part of being a psycho is having the ability to appear normal, friendly, charming, etc while simultaneously being deranged underneath. Because of that I wouldn't necessarily call someone who was very clearly deranged just from looking at them a "psycho" because to me psycho implies that ability to blend in.

The physically attractive psychopaths tend to be a lot more dangerous than the later. Its just another tool they are able to use in manipulating their prey.

It's a bit difficult to find psychopaths that are actually successful at manipulation. There have been geniuses out there that have had a long spree of killings but those are a few in a dozen and the truly intellect. For Example: Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Dahmer, Hillside Strangler... These I would say in a twisted kind of way are the most attractive, but most psychos tend to be idiots. The infamy makes them seem bigger than what they are.

They have a charming personality that turns into psychological control. Charles Manson and Jim Jones were not exactly handsome...or hot, at ALL; But they could pick out weak minded people.

I also agree that pretty or hot people rely on their looks too much, and may need some help in the character department. But I have met many decent AND hot men. Just as I have met some ugly people...inside and out!

Most criminologists would disagree with you. Psychopathology as a term has been deemed obsolete and is generally only adopted in ciminology as a term to describe people with borderline personality disorder and certain types of schizophrenia, both of which imply exteremely intelligent, charismatic and manipulative people.

Why is it that paranoid schizophrenics only hear malevolent voices? Is it because those hearing good voices go unreported or end up as saints?

Not in psychiatry though... soicopathic personality disorder (not psychopathology) has absolutely nothing to do with schizophrenia or borderline...

borderlines are overly emotional and unpredictably dramatic in an exaggerated fashion

schizophrenics are emotionally flat and socially withdrawn with possible delusions

sociopaths are unemotional, but charismatic and socially manipulative

The three have literally nothing in common!!!

Well, I don't really agree with the premise, and don't agree that this particular psycho is attractive.

But on a completely unrelated note, one poster on this thread has a striking resemblance (in my opinion) to an infamous serial killer I remember from when I was a kid. I'll post the psycho's photo, you guess which RJ poster I'm talking about.

isn't antisocial sometime coexist with borderline? (i.e. impulsive borderline which is very like an antisocial)

Sometimes some symptoms come in hand in hand but that does not necessarily mean they are one. Psychology is such a broad, complex and intricate field it is hard to define one from the other.

No, antisocial can be very calculated and cold also... impulsivity is not a critical trait, its just one of many
