It's 2:53 AM and I haven't started writing the paper I have to hand in tomorrow yet.

    Am I the only one?

procrastinating like me... well if your class is in the morning the good luck to you hahahaha. No your not alone, I have t write a 5-6 page essay about human evolution which is pretty easy to write up while typing and bull shitting icon_biggrin.gif! This is why I take afternoon classes, just in case of any emergency or procrastinating! Good luck buddy icon_wink.gif

You can always pay to buy one of those essays or someone to write you one icon_lol.gif

    @ A_1991

Well, the essay must be in french, and the greatest part of the work is done (reading, setting up a plan, etc.), so I don't think it'd be worth it to pay for an essay on internet. And I don't do that, usually hahaha... I just need to kick myself in the ass and spit the shit in a Word document.

It's 8 pages and its about the debate between history and heritage in the "frame" of commemoration.

    Thanks for the support ;)

    @ Ciarsolo

That's an idea ! I'm gonna get published on a scientific website eventually too, but I'm not getting paid for it... icon_rolleyes.gif

Someday I will be Dr. Neukam

I kind of feel the same way about my thesis. Needs to be 50+ pages, done in about a month or so (no specific deadline), and I haven't started writing yet... I have time set aside to start today though, I swear!

I am the king of procrastination. I once wrote a 20 page marketing plan in 15 back to back hours which included research and a power point presentation. Literally finished just in time to make it to class.

I did that once, regretfully. I could have b/s'd better than what my money got me. Totally not worth it.

I did the same thing. I had 2 weeks to write a paper that was due yesterday. Did it at work yesterday morning. 4 page conflicting argument on media violence and the youth.

icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gif Maaan!.. Ain't that some risky business?!!... Anyway, more power - and prayers!! - to you..

@ Disasterpiece: You are not aloooone!!...We're all up in there with you... Even when, to some of us, it's pretty academically suicidal... Especially in my case: I'm attending a graduate program at a Danish B-School and, contrary to North American higher education systems, European ones only comport ONE single evaluation at the end of the semester for each subject - no midterm, attendance grade, participation percentage, homeworks, partial or extra credits!!!.. None of that!!.... You only get one shot: a final exam or a thesis - if you're at the end of your cycle! Now, here in Denmark, things for the final exam get a bit tricky: you either get a written exam (at home or in class, open or closed book) OR you get what they call a' synopsis-based' exam - a 20 mn oral examination that is your pitching opportunity 'to deliver dramatic manifestation of acquired and assimilated knowledge'. Basically, using a one-page synopsis that you've preaviously written, your task is to launch a 20 mn discussion with your instructor and an official censor about the learning objectives of the class syllabus and display how well you've assimilated them .... icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif 20 mn to condense 12 weeks of class!!...I find that daunting...

Haha, thanks! I have done a lot of research - been doing that since the spring - but I have parts of an outline, and just need to start the actual writing now. Also, this is an engineering thesis, so I can fill space with lots of pictures and charts!

    Did you get it done?

I'm the same way. I need the last minute pressure in order to get motivated enough to write anything.

Yup, I wrote the last sentence at 6:55 AM and went to sleep until 12:00 PM. It's not only a motivation think, I live with 4 roommates and they're all very fun... and kinda disturbing ? icon_razz.gif

The thing is, I always get good grades, so I don't get the point of changing my academic behaviors. Sure, all nighters are hard on the immune system (and the system in general), but hey... Ehmm... Well, I don't have any arguments against that actually, I know it's wrong and I deal with it, period.

I totally know I'm not the only one facing this situation on a regular basis, we're a bunch of procrastinators, but I just wanted to share it with you guys haha...

    @Dayton31

Your story sound painful, but it's unfortunately a pretty similar record of what I've been living kinda every week since the third week of my masters degree icon_razz.gif I guess that makes me Emperor ? ;)

I learned just two short days ago how awful this is.

I've always been a procrastinator but this just sucked. I finished it up around 5AM and it was due at noon, and Yahoo's server apparently decided I couldn't email it.... but it didn't tell me it didn't want to email it until after the deadline for some horseshit reason. Thankfully my professor was understanding and just docked a few points instead of giving me an immediate failing grade, which is her policy.

I hate being an English major sometimes.

Ok, so I need to watch that documentary and produce a 8 pages essay on it. I gotta hand it in tomorrow morning.

I thought it would be like 30-45 minutes - easy shit.

Just realized it's 1 hour 47 fricken minutes. What fucking producer as the idea to produce such a documentary ? On national TV ? COME ON...

Well, here we go again, motherf... icon_mad.gif
