saw her a few years ago here in town. she is a riot!! worth the price of admission. going to see her later this month at the Palms. cannot wait. she says things outloud that most of us are just thinking in our heads!!!
I saw her live here in Vancouver about two years ago. It was her Assassin tour. She was so funny, and unlike Bill Maher, who just repeated what he had written down, Margaret Cho actually made jokes about the audience, and about Vancouver. It was really refreshing, and again, so funny. We're going to see her here again in 3 weeks. Have fun!
She always twice as funny live as she is on DVD. Sometimes she will tour the comedy clubs to test out material for her tours. The small performances aren't advertised very far in advance, but if you catch wind of one, GO! I saw her when she was gearing up for the Assassin tour and then later in the tour itself. She was even more inappropriate in a small venue.
I saw her here a few years ago. Because this is the home of Marshall University we have an arts schedule called the Marshall Artist Series. Being of Chinese descent she made some funny jokes about what was expected of her that evening. She was funny but I will say that she didn't have her act well timed. She had one joke about a diet that caused her to mess her pants while driving that went on way too long. She's very political (which I like) and overall engaging.
