I'm also on the same quest. They discontinued my "Supreme Whey Protein" by Dymatize. It tasted like a vanilla milkshake. After going around buying up all that I could find after I was told they discontinued that line, I'm down to my last container. Been mixing it 1/2 and 1/2 with some other powder that tastes like ass by itself to make it last. Good luck and let me know if u find anything

Apparently, there are those who think if it's healthy it must taste bad or it can't be good for you.

I stick to food....and juicing if I want more nutrition than I can eat in bulk.

I like Wheybolic Extreme 60 by GNC. Three scoops contain 60g protein, 1g fat and 6g carbs (270 total calories) The chocolate is the best tasting variety that I have tried so far but they also have vanilla and cookies & creme.

If you like fruity, Syntrax Nectar whey protein's awesome! The cherry's got a funky, over-ripe fruit aftertaste, but the fuzzy navel flavor's amazing.

I'm sure some people will give me a bit of flack for this, but honestly it's so far been the only thing that makes some of the more disgusting protein powders I've tried edible.

Mix your usual ratio of milk and powder into a blender, and add a heaping tablespoon of Jif Extra Crunch peanut butter to it. Mix well. The Jif TOTALLY overpowers that gross taste of the powder and makes it actually pretty yummy! icon_smile.gif

Also, The Vitamin Shoppe carries a brand here in Memphis called Gold Standard that is actually really tasty as far as protein powders go. That doesn't say much, obviously, but it's definitely a lot more tolerable than the other stuff. I'm sure people have their favorite brands, but I think after I finish this bucket of other stuff, I'm going back to it. Just based on the #'s on the label and given availability, GS was the most protein per gram of carbs/sugars per scoop.

    Hope that helps!

The Nutrition House makes the best protein powder I've ever tried. The vanilla and chocolate flavours taste like real milkshakes...YUM!!!

I may be wrong, but I think the Nutrition House is Canadian and not available in the US.

I've tried many and the best tasting for me is Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey Protein; both chocolate and vanilla are palatable. Avoid Body Fortress if you're sensitive to taste.

THAT'S the stuff! I thought it had another name besides "Gold Standard," but that was all I can remember. It's pretty fantastic. For the availability, I'm def. switching back unless something utterly amazing falls in my lap. It is a tad on the pricey side, though. icon_redface.gif

I only use natural whey protein (vanilla). I dont use milk either only small amount juices that are low in sugar or unsweetened. This is because I put in fresh fruits such as: strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, bananas, mangoes, raspberries, etc...(Not all together). I sometimes throw in flaxseed, creatine and glutamine too.

I rarely use protein powder anymore, unless it's in oatmeal or a smoothie (beside the point?)...But Jay Robb's Whey or Egg White protein, sweetened with stevia, is by far the best out there. It's actually REALLY GOOD, but definitely on the expensive side. Whole Foods sells it, or you can buy it online.

Isopure's protein tastes surprisingly good, and is very fine, so you can actually just stir it with a spoon without clumping up.

Their chocolate and strawberry flavors are good too, but vanilla is obviously the most versatile to mix in.

I like Isopure's zero-carb isolate and right now I'm doing BSN's Syntha-6 (chocolate). I like it because it is powder enough to shake up in a water bottle without needing a blender.

Oh man, I really didn't need another reason to cross the border. Now I will be coming back with protein powder and a decaliter of Bombay from the duty free.

You don't even have the sense to use your tongue?

I'll make my usual endorsement: proteinfactory.com.

It's cheap, you can specify flavor, sweeteners and supplements. The high-filtration stuff dissolves easily, without shaking.
