Really? Are all the folks at Gay Patriot black? Or was DoomsDay just using a well-known analogy for those who are traitors to their own cause? icon_rolleyes.gif

Who do you think voted to remove those judges?

    liberals or conservatives ?
    Democrats or Republicans ?

If you support those who hate you, perhaps you might want to re-evaluate your decisions. Just a thought.

This election was a huge lost to the democratic party and the president....im kinda shocked as people are not being informed by the media so that they can know that the president is actually doing a good job...now that the republicans have gained somewhat leverage...healtcare for blacks and immigration issues will def not be of concern to them..the progress and change that obama has been doing will be halted..the republican party is filled with the most vile individuals who would rather corrupt shit than help fix it...so sick of it all. Im even shock at some of the democrats who voted against the democratic leader.

why do so many gays look at the gay/straight issue based on party principals? Homophobia crosses all genders and political lines and when we aim our scopes at someone based on political bent we are missing the bigger picture and giving credit where it isn't due, republican OR democrat.

The election in Iowa was pushed by NOM. Lots of outside money from despicable homophobes to oust sitting judges...two of whom were appointed by the current Republican governor. Activist judges, indeed!

Alpaca was referring to "GayPatriot" as the Uncle Tom. GayPatriot is no patriot. GayPatriot IS an Uncle Tom.

And southbeach, get your head out of your ass. Always bitching about personal attacks on you, but out of the gate you have no commentary on the topic but commentary on the motivations of the OP. We all know you want to suck Alpaca's cock. Just do it already.

To answer your question: Because the Democrats say they are for the gays, the gays believe them, despite the Democrats not doing anything at all for the gays.

Please name any Republican/Conservative sponsored legislation FOR gay rights?

Instead of making gay Republicans appear better by insulting and demeaning Democratic supporters here, please convince us in calm and rational terms.

Because one of the Republican party's "principles" is a plank in their official party platform vowing opposition to gay marriage.
A specific "principle" they advocate and actively support, is denying gays equal rights.

There is a vast difference between a PERSON having anti-gay personal beliefs - and a PARTY that votes against gay rights and pursues an activist attempt to deny gays equal rights.

We "aim our scope" at the Repubs beacuse they have been hatemongering against us and aiming their time and energy at blocking and REVERSING pro-gay progress.
They have targeted us, and we must fight back.
The only way we can do that effectively is by voting for Democratic candidates and pushing the Democratic party to become more openly and forcefully pro-gay.

Gaypoopriot thinks conservative straight people like gay people who are conservative. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
    OH!
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Relativism hides reality. It's like that douchebag PM in Italy who plays with post pubescent teen girls and rationalizes it by saying "at least I'm not a fag".

I may be gay, but hey (voice drops and octave) at least I'm conservative, I don't wear my sexuality on my sleeve, I'm personally against gay marriage, gay pride parades give us tough guys a bad image. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Exactly, they attack other gays for being part of the "scene", like this "scene" only involves gay bars and clubs. They preach about how gays that aren't them are vapid and stereotypes...yet how many of these guys do you see volunteering at gay community centers? Taking part in community events?

The best part? Most of them rally behind Christian conservatives and openly attack other faiths (like Muslims)

n8698u saidPlease name any Republican/Conservative sponsored legislation FOR gay rights?

southbeach can't, because there isn't any. His main argument is that because Democrats have been unreliable fair-weather friends to gays, we must instead run into the arms of his sponsors, the Republicans. He claims we'll get a better deal from them.

Anybody here actually believe that? Anybody here actually read the Repub party platform, national and by state, and listen to their candidate statements regarding gays? And what they intend for us? Not the concentration camp nonsense SB throws out as our pretended argument (though a few candidates have actually said that in the past), but the stripping of our civil rights, and criminalizing us. And THAT'S on the record!

Just because the Democratic weasels don't always do your bidding, is no reason to jump into the tank with the Republican sharks. Sounds like southbeach would have us commit suicide, because we didn't get all we asked for from the Dems. I know he would, and I also know why... icon_wink.gif

I can understand being gay and a FISCAL conservative. I can understand some gay men not pigeonholing themselves into the "gay lifestyle."

I cannot understand putting onself in staunch support of a party that ACTIVELY and DETERMINEDLY relegates gays and lesbians into second class status.

The whole "Ann Coulter as the gay neo-con diva," like she's a political Cher, still blows my mind.

Very true about the fiscal conservative gays. I am one of them. Of course, I would pay 80% of my income for the right/freedom to stick my dickin/get stuck with a dick by whoever I want.

To answer your question: Because the Democrats say they are for the gays, the gays believe them, despite the Democrats not doing anything at all for the gays.

I'm so sick of hearing this from the gay community! The only people doing ANYTHING for gay rights are Democrats. If you don't think that they are doing enough, quit bitching on web blogs and CALL YOU REPRESENTATIVES!!! Don't just send the form e-mails that are almost always ignored. Pick up the phone and call them. Let them know that you will hold them accountable.

Take a page from the tea party's book. Support, elect and hold accountable representatives that support your worldview. Hell, even more to the point just vote. I'd be willing to bet that a good 70% of the people that bitch about dems not doing anything for gays don't even vote...
