What do you drink in the morning to get you going? Are you a tea man? Coffee queen? Instant breakfast or power drink? Or do you just have some juice with your breakfast?

Me, I am definatly a Tea man, mostly Oolong and Spiced Chi teas. Occasionally I'll switch up and have me some hot choco instead to get me going.

    Coffee with chocolate.

I've never drank brewed coffee, it's just not in the vogue here.

I drink instant, a very samll amount (1/4 tablespoon) with sugar and a generous amount of chocolate milk. That's it.

I've been told I'm not pleasant to be around in the mornings if I don't have my coffee. But I just don't believe that. I'm always a joy to be around!

During the week I drink tea, once I'm @ the office. Weekends I bust out the French Press, some rich coffee with Cinnamon sticks and some sugar, that's it!

(God, I hate to admit this.)

Diet Coke. (Coke ZERO, actually.) I am very warm blooded, and on top of living in Florida, warm breakfast beverages are just too much.

Gotta have my diet coke. I have at least managed to go from 3- 20oz. bottles a day to 2-12 oz. cans.

Mocha or tea, usually, with a nice danish to go. Coffee really has no effect on me.

Just a little crack in the shower usually gets me started. Coffee upsets my stomach in the morning. I also don't get out of bed unless I am fully awake. sometimes I lie for 20 mins getting mentally ready before I even pull back the blankets.

Really? I can't give proper attention to anyone's crack until I've had my coffee.

Green tea, mostly, along with a nice breakfast. On those exeptionally hard to wake up days I get a short Chai Breve with a shot of espresso. New baristas, usually look at me like I'm crazy, but it's my emergency drink and I make no apologies.

[*whew* I did it, I made it through without commenting to squarejaw's post. I could have said, something about making sure there's a warm pot of coffee on the nightstand, but I prevailed against my id. Hooray for me!]

Nothing. I don't have a morning drink (I usually eat cereal / oatmeal, so I have some milk in the morning).

I'm not keen on developing a coffee addition either icon_razz.gif

Coffee, and I like to have a quiet morning ALONE for the first cup! Don't always get it but don't expect much conversation until the first cup is GONE!

Coffee, espresso, Italian-style, short and black. Just one or two to get the machinery in motion. Then tea for the rest of the day - green, herb, lapsang, chai masala.

Also I recently discovered maté - a great way to keep the mind ticking over without the negative sides of too much coffee.

orange juice, milk (& cereal and a random fruit).

eating a small healthy breakfast shortly after waking up kickstarts your metabolism into high gear for the day.

i find it surprising that so many guys are saying (inferred) they don't eat a healthy breakfast on a ... fitness site. ^_^

Tea all the way. Even the smell of coffee is nauseating. I've got a mug from TeaSource that says "Don't even think of putting coffee in here."

Granted, their Chocolate Cream tea is pretty good in the morning.

I take my coffee just like the way I take my drinks - in shots. Double (sometimes triple) shots of espresso.

Shot of espresso - or caffeine without the pee factor as I like to think of it. I have this cool machine, grinds packs and squirts coffee, and only one button to push. About as complicated as I can handle first thing in the morning. icon_biggrin.gif

Then it's the egg/protein breakfast thing when I get to work. Getting a good breakfast really helps me with the day.

Actually I have a Pepsi... a regular ice cold Pepsi with no ice. We gave up all artificial sweeteners about 2 years ago. I know the Pepsi has high fructose corn syrup in it but that is less scary than Aspartame or Splenda.

I wish we could get the new Pepsi RAW here in the states. It's only available in the UK. It's made from all natural extracts, cane sugar and sparkling water instead of HFCS and chemicals. Check out the website.
