Weird Reactions to Weightlifting

    Does anyone have any unusual reactions to certain exercises? For instance, when I do seated leg presses my right ear will start ringing. No idea why. I have a friend who, when he does leg curls his left hand will tighten up and almost start to cramp. Does anyone else have any similar quirks?

    When I do shrugs my face makes some non-human-like shape.
    I almost dropped two 120 lb dumbbells once from laughing so hard.

    Great topic you brought up!
    I was at the gym yesterday for my arms...
    and every single time I work on my triceps for some reason,
    my penis feels super sensitive.....
    almost to the point where it feels orgasmic??
    and its hard to concentrate on any tricep exercise... I don't get hard or anything, it just a weird sensation doing any tricep rep.

    Yeah, it looks like I'm snarling when I do shrugs. Nothing I do will keep my face calm. I moved to not looking in the mirror when shrugging so it doesn't look like I'm making mean faces at someone else lol. Wall is fine for staring at while shrugging =P

    Hmmm, I have a similar sensation when I do tricep push downs and pull downs. It has gotten to the point where it does feel orgasmic, yet it also feels like my insides are being tickled. It only happens when I am doing hypertrophy sets though. (10 - 12)

    Reactions to exercise? Oh yeah actually, this hot guy was working out next to me and I get this tingle inside when he bends over with deadlifts..... icon_smile.gif

    When I do deadlifts, I get a huge rush and see stars immediately after my exercise. That's why it's my favorite exercise.


    Also, my dick goes numb after riding the stationary bike.

    I get this weird popping sensation all over my body and the left side of my head when I was stretching out from a back/lat/shoulder routine. Felt like blood vessel exploding and I was going bleed out and die.
    I didn't obviously.
    First time that happened on Tuesday.

    On heavy lifts or when swimming really hard, once in a while my second and third toes are prone to cramp up and try to cross. Hurts like hell and is very distracting at a bad time because of course I'm trying to concentrate.

    My hands, especially my pinky fingers go numb after a really good arm or shoulder workout. I've been told that it might have something to do with my thoracic outlet syndrome.

Is it blood rushing to the penis from the pump? A sexual mind-muscle connection? Does this "rush" (which I've never experienced) help motivate you to get to the gym on your lazy-ass days? I've actually seen more than once (no fantasy!) groups of straights decline benching with stiffies pointing near straight to the ceiling!

    Actually, the groups of straights lifting together typically aren't "gay hot," they're average skinny-fat, hairy-legged basketball-shorted weekend warriors trying to outlift each other. Though on occasion I've seen sweatpant-clad competition-jacked bodybuilders doing hard sets solo with obvious hardons (for real) and wondered what's on THEIR minds.

    Anytime I deadlift over 400lbs, I get all aggro and want to punch something. Anything under and it is just another exercise to me.

    The snarling is kinda sorta what mine looks like.
    One day (once my back is healed enough to do shrugs again) I'll record a video, and post a video still shot from it. It's fuckin hilarious. icon_lol.gif

    I'm with you on that one, I am not hard when I do my tricep reps, its just a very weird/nice/ticklish sensation down there, and it does feel like I am about to cum, but nothing comes out.

    It might be the blood pumping? I don't know

    My motivation for going to the gym is to feel sore the next day, is that weird? I know I'm going off a different topic, but I like to workout to the point where I kind of know that I will be sore.
