The trailer, and synopsis at the movie's web site, indicate this is a bit kinky, and perhaps a little tough to stomach. BTW, at first I thought this might refer to the 1942 Tyrone Power movie of the same name, for which this rather campy trailer was made at the time:

im a big movie guy. i am super excited for this movie. from what i've been reading this is an oscar vehicle for natalie portman. apparently mila kunis's performance is also stellar.

Despite it not being the type of movie I would go see, I thought the movie was ok when I saw it. The movie made me love Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis even more.

Can't wait to see this one. Posted a thread about it a couple of months ago when I first saw the trailer. Really excited that it is FINALLY being released! icon_smile.gif

I wonder if this one will be as psychologically messed up as Aronofsky's Requiem For A Dream?

I am definitely going to see this. I absolutely love Natalie Portman.

She even looks good bald! I mean how many women can pull that off? If I was straight I'd be head over heels. icon_razz.gif

Yeah, Requiem For A Dream probably got a lot of people to rethink recreational drugs. It sure freaked me out! icon_eek.gif

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI am glad you guys (those of you that have seen it) are giving it glowing reviews. I am growing rather apathetic at the poor quality of movies that are being pumped out of Hollywood. The trailer looked amazing and now I look forward to seeing it even more.

It's definitely one of those movies where the whole audience interacts with it. There is surprisingly a lot of sort of darkly funny moments that had the audience laughing out loud and A LOT of white knuckled, jaw dropping FRIGHTENING parts. I can't say enough good things about it. I wanna see it again icon_biggrin.gif.

I can't wait to see this. Aside from being an Aronofsky film and having a great cast... I hope it bring more popularity and audience to this dying art form...

And kudos to all the dancers involved and natalie portman's "stunt" or "dancing" double Sarah Lane!
