Ok so I know you should eat before you work out and drink your protein shakes right after you've done your weights. However is it a good idea to do your cardio right after the shake?
Will the shake fuel you for the cardio and will you burn off any of the crap and calories in the shake leading to better muscle mass?

What are peoples' routines when it come to eating, working out and protein?

Generally I do cardio, workout, protein but I'm wondering if changing the order will get me faster results.

I generally do a protein shake before a workout, then eat after.
For cardio, I usually eat fruits before for energy.

Do you do cardio and weights in the one session?

You have to experiment and find what works best for you. Typically, I'll eat a light snack about an hour before I go run. After the run, I'll consume a carb drink (example: Powerade). Then I'll go to the gym to workout. Then right after my workout, I'll drink a meal replacement shake. Then an hour later, I'll eat a regular meal.

Personally, I can't drink a protein/MRP shake before a workout or run. It just grosses me out for some reason. icon_lol.gif
