Haha, I like it. I have no way of describing what it tastes like, just try it one day and see for yourself.

Republicans. The other white meat closely related to 'chickens". icon_biggrin.gif

My mother's late cousin was a famous professor of pre-colonial American history who specialized in the Plymouth colony. He told me that the first Thanksgiving feast was probably centered on duck, venison and seafood.

I'm tempted to go for duck this year instead of turkey. (I love both.) But we'll have to see what Puppy80 has to say about it since he'll be the guest of honor at our Thanksgiving this year.

I've always associated macaroni and cheese with thanksgiving. Kinda wierd.

But I ALWAYS demand a delicious pecan pie.

For me it's not so much about the main dish as it is about the sides - sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, scalloped corn, stuffing. And then follow it up with pie, lots and lots of pie icon_biggrin.gif

Not turkey this year, but venison. Some jerk left a dead deer along the highway up in Sterling Heights.

That's mean. What has chicken ever done to be compaired to Republicans?

TURKEY--even though I'm the only one in my family that LOVES it--plus stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, sweet potatoes, and cranberry-orange sauce. As every year, I eat nothing but leftovers for the following 4 days!

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Turkey and the crust from the stuffing... mmm... crunch... jello molds. Cranberry sauce, I forgot about that.

It is usually quite an affair. Turkey, ham, roast chicken, and if I'm really really good.....Baron of Beef. Plus all the usual veggies, casseroles, etc.
