its that time of year again, freezin cold and dark nights, especially in Scotland......Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

i use the winter as my anual 3 month bulk up....increase the cals...go up to 3500/ 300gs protein/ 80gs fat...i get a bit chunky but its the winter so why worry......i also really focus on the compound moves to build my strength and size

come feb i start to lean down ahead of spring and summer

does anyone else do this? or change their workout, eating habits in winter?

I seem to always lean out in winter and chunk up a bit in spring/summer. Don't know why I work in the opposite cycle, but so it is.

I do the same thing in the winter. Right now I thin k I have put on about 4lbs already but it is not fat. With the warm weather I want to be inside more so I spend more time in the gym which leads to me bulking up more. It also cause me to not be able to wear some shirts I wore in the Summer

I usually indulge a little more during the winter months and bulk up a little, although I never gain a much weight ( but I get back on track once the Holidays are over).

Dude ...WE ARE MAMMALS....we all eat heavy to build that fat to warm us....personally....My diet is looser in the winter.....and it seems when spring comes...I'm outside...more active....don't overthink it.....Just hit it...and monitor your diet as needed...BUD

Yup same here. At first I got stressed about not being able to get my regular amount of outdoor cardio in winter but instead I'm just focusing on using it as an opportunity to bulk. I wanted to bulk anyway so the winter just gives me an opportunity to focus on that; come spring I will start the cardio again and focus on chipping away at the excess.

I joined a Golds Gym at the end of October. I intend to make the gym a part of my routine year round not just in the winter. During the warmer weather months when I cycle to work, I can also cycle to the gym after work and continue on my plan to build up my physique.

I am doing almost the exact same thing. Except I am going for 5 months. Put on 12lbs so far since October! It is a combination of some fat and muscle.

I don't do any of that crap. Once the fat cell divides, it's permanent. Losing weight sucks.
