So...I'm currently cleaning out my office at the job I've alternately loved and hated for the past year-plus. A nice little promotion and transfer has wooed me away to greener pastures.

...And now all of a sudden, inexplicably, I'm a little bit sad. Know why??? Because if not for needing a stress break to play on the internet for five minutes one fateful afternoon about five months ago, I wouldn't have found RealJock! I owe every relationship I've fostered from this website to the job I'm leaving...sniff...

Okay. Moment of uncharacteristic sentimentality in check. Balls firmly reattached. Just had to share that. icon_cool.gif

Well ZDrew, congrats for the new job!

I know what you mean about leaving something like your job.. but if Realjock is one (hopefully a number) of things that came out of your position there, it was a positive experience. And after observing you on here, I'm sure you look at most things positively...

Best of luck on your new job. Buddy says so too!

Mmmm...eating chocolate cake while laying on a bearskin rug...doesn't get any better than this.

Congratulations on your new position Zdrew78!

Hmmm... perhaps I better rephrase that, don't want to get the RJ boys too excited (especially StripperRocco).

Congratulations on the new job! Good luck!

Well, ZD knows what I think already.

Whoever loses him is going to regret it terribly.
Whoever gains him gains someone immeasurably fine.

But I still don't know why Pluto goes about on all fours, when Goofy stands on two legs and THEY'RE BOTH DOGS.

    ZDrew,

Congrats and best of everything to you as you begin with the new company. They're fortunate to get you - and if they don't know it yet, tell them we all said so!

Z, I know how your feel. I still feel passionately for the organization I left just over a year ago. I'd been with them for seven years, But, there was a transition at the top, my immediate supervisor, who I just didn't click with. I hung in there because of the important work the org does, but I just couldn't reconcile working for my boss. There are many things I still miss about it, but I made the right decision to leave.

    Good luck!

zdrew - congrats on the new job! I've always found that changing jobs can be positive (but stressful) and have always found myself in a better situation when I have changed. Just keep in mind that there will be many new avenues for learning with your new position - keep an open mind and a positive attitude!

    Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

Congratulations on the new job, your original post made me think that you will no longer access realjock. I am sure that is not true though.

Nope! I'm still here. Just...you know, suddenly significantly busier. The first day rush and all that...it's all good.
