PS. Tell Tiki Tom he's lucky he didn't crash on landing. The tailwheel was loose as fuck.

This is just a one-time thing for some big event going on tomorrow.
We're giving aerial tours in the Birddog (above) and the Cessna 310 (twin engine).

Paul: Can you take both C & me up at the same time? But it'll have to be another day, we're totally committed Saturday to getting ready for the SMART Ride to Key West, leaving Monday, and won't be back until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Next time something like this becomes available, do e-mail me directly, OK?

    I wish I could, but it's only a two-seater (tandem, front & back).
Next time I may be flying the twin-engine, which will carry both of you.
I'll definitely email you next time we do something like this.

OK, thanks. I kinda thought it was a rather ancient Army observer plane. Couldn't remember if it was tandem or not, so the observer could see to both sides, and the fuselage profile was narrow to small arms fire from below, since the airspeed is quite low. I believe those underwing missiles aren't air-to-air, but rather smoke ground markers. But my memory is fuzzy after all these years, and those things were already rather dated even by my time, their role superseded by rotary wing aircraft.

Yep, you're right...it is an observer plane, and those are marker rockets (fully operational, but disconnected to be 'idiot-proof').
I'd like to mount those rockets to the front of my car to keep slow pokes and texters out of my way. icon_lol.gif
