Just wondering how long your current commute to work is? Mine's likely to go up to about 35 minutes each way in the new year, but I think that's fine.

What would you consider too much? Also, how do you travel? (This is by car for me).

Currently 3 mi / 4.8 km (10 min) each way. In another week moving to a different location which will be 1.5 mi / 2.4 km (5 min) each way.

Could easily ride by bike or motorcycle, but the short distance with a hybrid car makes my gas consumption almost nothing, and keeping my gym stuff in the car is a big convenience.

About 1.2 miles from my home to my office in Terradyne. Of course I have to drive many times to see clients.. and in fact, have clients all over Kansas, but the "commute" is not much. I really like it.

If I make both lights, I'm there in 3.5 minutes, 6 if I miss them.

And even though I'm that close, I'm late every single day. icon_redface.gif

I report to work at all three major NYC airports. Good thing I live here. I have some colleagues who commute as far from Hawaii and Belgium to come to work. I guess the unique Flight Attendant commute situation.

About 20 minutes in the morning and about 30 minutes going home. For some reason, the drive home always takes longer.

For me, 30 to 40 minutes is about the maximum time I'd want to spend commuting to work.

37 miles each way. Up from a couple miles earlier this year. Driving longer beats living around my job. My office sits in a historic armory located in the middle of a decaying New England city aka huge ghetto.

Door to door from home to work is an 8 minute drive and about six minutes drive back home! the traffic is minimal thank God!! I am spoiled I guess, and that explains it why I hate long commutes!

Work is roughly 4 miles from my place and I can do it in 15 minutes with semi-heavy traffic (I have a lead foot). My longest commute was about 45 minutes each way.

8 miles, straight shot, no interstate (shitloads of red lights).
15-45 minutes one way, depending on traffic.
    25 minutes average.
