Has anybody played Final Fantasy XIV? I was really stoked for its release, but have been reading uniformly bad reviews. Has anyone here played it - does it suck THAT much?? I played XI and it was pretty fun (but sooo time consuming) so can't see how Square/Enix could eff up this new one that bad.

I haven't played it. It looks too complicated.

Its disappointing - I played FF XI Online for years and been playing FF since late 80s - they really missed with this one which sucks becuase graphics and storyline is good but battle and lvl system for a mmorpg game is totally unbalanced/broken icon_razz.gif

Final Fantasy IV - that's what I'm talking about!! How about the scene where Cecil becomes a paladin - one of the most memorable video game moments ever! icon_biggrin.gif Same with Palom and Porom turning themselves to stone and Tellah casting meteo -- woot!

I thought it was epic when Rydia hit puberty and started summoning a bunch of massive shit.

Rydia's triumphant return (looking all hot with her new hair, haha) saving the party with a summon - TOTALLY EPIC; I should have thrown that into my all-time favorite moments too. Geez, that game was so good!

Was that the one where you fight Cindy Mindy and Sandy on a whale spaceship or something?

I just hope it will turn out better than Final Fantasy XIII. What a dissapointment that was.
To this day my favourite is Final Fantasy VII

avadadakedavra (phew, I hope I spelled that right): FFVI is pretty much equally as awesome! I love when Terra turns into her pink energy form; is it dorky that I sometimes imagine myself that way when I'm doing a hard set at the gym? Haha, I think I can answer that question: yes.

You always remember your first (the first one I beat and understood, not the first one I played)

Not until I get myself a new desktop, something that isn't powered by a hamster in a wheel. Played XIII only and playing it to death, on my fourth run, and still awesome.

Played FFXIV for about two months. Not worth your money or time. SE every month has not been charging members a monthly fee for the game due to the state it is in. The community sucks. No one talks. I felt like I was playing a single player game. Back to WoW for me.

I have played all the Final Fantasy games.

I was not that excited about FF14 and I won't be playing it.

Even FF13 was not that fun.

Since Square Enix is so good at making games look graphically beautiful, I say they just recycle FF4 but for PS3 haha. Would love to see all those characters in PS3 graphics.

7 was my fav. I'd buy a PS3 if square enix remade FFVII for it.

I played FFX and that one was pretty good. X-2 was the last one I played and it was brutal and kind of offensive to women I found.

I love polo and porom! To bad they were turned to stone and you couldn't cast soft on them... Sucks
