Randy Bettis (White Party Albums) let me know that Reichen (Lance Bass's Ex) is recording a new song for The A-List New York reunion episode.

Could he one up Kim Zolciak's Tardy for the Party?

Anyone else think the show portrays Reichen as pretty self centered? Actually all the cast members, with maybe the exception of Reichen's boyfriend, Rodiny, come across that way in my opinion.

Why would he do that? Its going to be awful. Can he even sing? I used to really like him...his personality turned me off. I like Ryan the most.

He sang in the first or second episode. My cat left the room and the dog almost soiled herself in terror.

I used to really respect Reichen Lehmkuhl, but after seeing a few of the A-List episodes, I not so sure he deserves it. He has duplicity issues. He tends to bitch about people talking about his personal life - and you are on a reality TV show??? He also tends to complain about feeling alone, but yet he comes across as distant and a little cold. I know part of that is probably due to his military experience, but you can't treat your bf as a subordinate. His inclination to kiss other guys would drive me freaking crazy.

To his credit, Rodiny comes across as a little out of touch with what concerns/worries Reichen. As for the other A-List guys, I don't really think I'd ever spend time with them. They are just self-absorbed drama queens interested in materialistic possessions and the latest fashion. Their priorities in life are totally different than mine - I doubt we could be friends.

The douchebag can sing? Wow... I've never heard of this A-List show. I wish he'd just go away. His use of that N Sync guy to launch himself into fame worked, unfortunately. He's a skilled player, for sure.

I agree; he used Lance Bass to blast off his public image - much like how Palin used McCain.

I am so NOT in the know. I didn't know what "A-List New York reunion" was all about, or "Tardy for the Party."

I had to google Reichen Lehmkuhl and then realized he was on The Great Race several years ago paired with his boyfriend, another "A-List" circuit party hottie. Then I remembered him.

So that's what his claim to fame is? He was on a reality show, and is hot?

I think about what "celebrity" means to many gay men. I guess that is it.

No... just hot. The reality show had nothing to do with it. Shal-low! icon_wink.gif

After that he started to appear on shows cast as the "incredibly handsome waiter-" the he wrote a book about being gay and in the military along with some ?sexually graphic hazing? (something along those lines) and finally dated Lance Bass. Real media whore.

I hate myself for watching this show.....but we can't stop watching. I avoided it until a friend convinced me to try. I just look at it as entertainment and I doubt many straight people will watch it...hopefully it doesn't hurt our image too much. I've been speculating on how much drama has been engineered by the producers. I imagine them telling them all to go on and have another drink at any of the social functions....then saying, "Did you know what Austin said about you?"

I do have to admit I've lost a little respect for Mike Ruiz for participating in the show and I hope it doesn't hurt his career. However, he was smart to limit his participation and not play into the drama. I did enjoy when his father visited for gay pride.

At least the show makes me appreciate my friends even more than I do!

Yeah, he appeared fleetingly in an episode of Frasier, cast as "Impossibly Handsome Man". Although, it has to be said, he is incredibly handsome. Living in the UK, I do not know anything about 'The A-List New York' stuff. Is he some sort of party organiser? Didn't someone in the 'Famous People I've Met' thread say he was a nice guy?

He is ex-military, which does give him some extra cred points and he has advocated gay rights in the military as a spokesperson for Servicemembers Legal Defense Network. But he was a fast jet pilot and a lot of those do tend to have incredibly inflated egos.

The A-List reality series is plain trash TV with shallow gay men bickering about much ado about nothing! I feel dirty, ashamed, and angry watching it. Please don't sing, Reichen! Just dig a shallow cave and drag the entire A List cast into it... and stay in there!

Although Paris has never served in the military.

Now there's an idea. A sort of 'Private Benjamin' meets Paris Hilton reality show. Train her up and parachute the spoilt bitch into Helmand Province and see how long she lasts selling diamante shoes to the Taliban.

Maybe he'd get more attention/respect from me if he did a reality show about how gay men can serve honorably in the military instead of promoting stereotypes about spoiled Chelsea queens. I can watch the latter on 8th Ave anytime I want, no need to wait for a TV show.

I have as much in common with the A-list cast as I do with The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, and I don't feel guilty at all watching both train wrecks. I do think Ryan is a cool guy though so I'm not going to say ALL the A-Listers are vapid publicity mongers.

Reichen's thoughts that he shares on the show are beyond horrific. Before the relationship falls apart with Rodiney he states that it is "just a gay relationship"; like a bond between two gay guys can't be serious.

It's an insult to the letter A for this show to be called the A-List. Truth in titling dictates this show be called the Shit-List.
