Kate Middleton, known by female newspaper journalists as "Waity Katy" was thought of a gold-digger when she met Prince William at University.
A typical southern English middle class graduate, no other man was good enough for her. She HAD to court someone no lower than the second heir to the Throne (after Prince Charles). She was generally idle, had no specific career and tanked herself up at exclusive London nightclubs which cost a small fortune to get in, let alone the price of the booze sold within.
Now she is destined to become Princess, possibly Queen afterwards.
And the nation, as if stupefied by some kind of narcotic, bow its head in adoration...
Sometime I envy countries like America which are Republics. When a President's term ends, or he makes a serious error, he gets booted out.
But on the positive side, Waity Katy has endured a decade of flak from newspaper journalists, such as Amanda Platell of the Daily Mail, a paper reputed for its patriotism and stern, Tory policies.
I hope Middleton has rubbed shit across Platell's face, and on all others who threw flak at her during their long courtship.
