    Has anyone read this:

    http://m.npr.org/news/Health/131215308

I read this several days ago and was really bothered by it. icon_confused.gif

I mean it is AZ, a perfect example of a RWcN state. (Right Wing christian Nazi) Now that the repuGlicans are back in power, will we see more of this?
I was just shocked and saddened.

Read it and let me know what you think.

    Cheers,

Let's just call this cost containment, and not by the accurate dysphemism of "death panels." icon_twisted.gif

I heard about this on the news last night. It is simply horrifying. The state would rather allow people to day than contribute one quarter the price of a transplant. I guess in addition to heads, Brewer thinks that there are other organs lying around willy-nilly in the desert.

It's unfortunate but the state is deep in the red since the housing collapse. Think of Ireland and Greece. There's no money. Unlike the federal government AZ cannot call up the federal reserve and have more printed up.

Maybe you're just too stupid to figure out that there's no more money left.

Musclequest, can you ditch the Repuglican stuff? You can't paint them all with the same brush.

I noticed the blank a few here drew as in 'there's nothing to be done'. This callousness is NOT indicative of all republicans, just the ones you see posting here, and three in the other Arizona topic. Remember to separate the jerks from the party.

There's a number of conservative suggestions I've recieved and I'll share them later. Gotta run!

I can certainly understand the change of policy, but if they've already promised something (e.g. authorized it), they should deliver it.

Other than that, cutting transplants out of medicare makes perfect sense.

"Stupid" Wow, quite surprised coming from you. icon_eek.gif But OK!?
Hardly stupid here, but apparently you must be. I say this because these cuts amount to only 4.5 million dollars. There are ways that they can come up with 4.5 million dollars to save the lives of the people to whom the state has made promises too. So if you think that they are justified in what they are doing then you ARE as stupid as the repuGlicans running that state.

    "Saving Money?

Arizona says the cuts will save about $4.5 million this year."
    - From the article. People....this only 4.5 million dollars icon_rolleyes.gif

As for the critics who don't like me using the term repuGlicans? Tough. The repuGlicans are the anti-Gay/pro religion party. Maybe not all repuGs., but the majority are. Those that claim not to be? You/they continue to vote and support them. You are as guilty as the majority of that lot of repGnant repuGlicans.

The first Conservative suggestion this morning:

Those that posture here and on other topics as republicans and or conservatives went blank (so it appeared) and cared nothing for those 98 people.

Here's a Conservative suggestion, one of those I received earlier. (not this site)

    http://www.azcentral.com/advert/childplate/.

Fundraising. By the gov't that will look better if it attempts to honor its promises made to the weakest among us.

Unfortunately, this is what it is going to take for all those Tea Partiers and the like to realize what their jargon and slogans really mean. Those people never think thru what is going to have to happen. And none of their politicians tell them precisely what they are going to have to cut.
