Ran 8 miles on the indoor track.

Wow I needed this. I ran at 7:12 pace and played "lap the cops" as they were doing Indian runs. I pretty much was running faster than they were sprinting.

Finished in 57:35, so I kept under 60 minutes again for 8 miles.

I am pleased, but I will see how I feel in the morning.

    I ran a slow 3 miles on a treadmill.
Experienceing some pain and a lot of tightness in my left calf, just under the ball of the muscle in the back (if that makes sense) so I took a few light days and a few days off but it didn't seem to help.
I got new shoes which helped with some posterior shin splints I had on my right leg but now the left leg is acting up. Feels like I can't get the shoe laced up comfortably. I might try just riding the bike or doing the elliptical for a few days, I don't want to lose too much time off my training schedule for the half.
    Any ideas?

I still get that. I just try to stretch out for at least 15-20 minutes.

    Thanks, guys.
    I appreciate the responses.

Do you thinkg I should continue running just not pusch too hard or crosstrain for a few days?

I am out of town for the week but I'll head back to the running store to check the fit and lacing on my shoe when I get home.
