    Light pollution is a rather ignored and under-hyped environmental issue. Scientifically proven, excessive and misdirected artificial light at night affects human health, like the circadian rhythm. We need to protect the night sky and wildlife. Most Americans can no longer see the Milky Way from their homes.

    Ah... Makes some sense. Then, I guess Russia is closer than the moon AND Canada, if we consider Sarah Palin.

    Very nice to see. I used to live outside of city limits where there was no light pollution and it was very calming to sleep at night.
