Now tell me it's not all about obstructionist egotism and pure, selfish, careless and out of control radical politics on the Republicans' part. From the mouths of baby elephants.... (Braces for a barrage of illogical hate-filled excuses and finger pointing from a certain someone in Miami...)

Many of us saw this 2 years ago, when Obama was elected, and Republicans and their media mouthpieces said they would destroy him, at whatever cost to the US. The Party of No went into action, and voted 100% against Democrat proposals, an unprecedented action in Congressional history. To put Party before Country, and bring the US to ruin in order to bring themselves back into power.

And now we have that reality of destroying a President. Yet uninformed & unsophisticated American sheep will be herded into believing it's the President's fault he's stumbled. That is The Plan, and it's working according to the Republican script.

Helped a tiny bit by some right-wing cheerleaders and disinformation specialists right here on RJ. Among them that anti-gay agent down in Miami about whom the OP refers.

There was a very good article on Alternet about this and basically this isn't a deficit commission, it's a "get rid of Social Security" commission. The right wing has been angling to either do away with SS because it's "socialism" or enrich their banking buddies by putting it in the market.

Yep....this is what it will be like over the next 2 years. Don't worry. The Democrats will stand tall and stand up to their antics....(and the American people will realize the mistake they made by voting them in).

MuscleComeBack, I think you will also enjoy the forum post I started as a tribute to Alan Grayson. Look for it and I think you'll (1) enjoy it and (2) agree with what I mentioned about Daniel Webster.
