There are many things in this world to fear. Knowledge is not one of them.

Watch this in HD and full screen to see galaxies clearly

Two eyes to see, one look to take
Two hands to work, one world to make
Two feet to walk, one path to take
Why wont we see we two are one

Two wings to fly, one sky above
Two lives to spend, one life in love
    Two opposites together in love,
Like parents whom a child is born of
Why wont we see, we two are one

All strings to strum, one song to play
All colours in one stroke of paint
All cards in hand, one hand to lay
Why wont we see we are all one

All branches on one tree to climb
All time and space, one place, one time
All children of just one single line,
This earth is all that we leave behind
Why wont we see we are all one

One stone to dwell, one house to build
One goal to reach, one sea to sail
One fate to cast, one soil to till
Its time to see, we are all one

One coin to flip, one day to live,
One choice to make, one love to give
One turn to take, one way to pave,
One prayer to say, one world to save,
Come on, lets see we are all one

that was beautiful, swimbikerun. and having arcade fire playing in the background (or was that broken social scene?) just made it even more AWESOME!

I'm glad you guys liked it! Just this one point alone: "Our galaxy is about 100,000 light years in diameter" is hard to comprehend.
Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. It makes any fantasies of our own creation childlike in comparison. The majesty of nature so very much trumps our wildest musings.

Thank you swimbikerun. For injecting a healthy dose of mind-expanding reality into my life, and putting the tempest of daily trivialities into perspective. The trick now, is to maintain that perspective.

What a lovely thread! Thanks to all of you have posted these videos.

As a Jewish man that was raised to fundamentally believe in God, heaven and hell, etc, I have been so moved and freed over the last handful of years to more and more be comfortable with the more Atheist to identify my belief system. It's funny, religious beliefs from one's parents and circle are so deeply rooted that it's little wonder that so many people cannot shake them.
