They don't screw around in Boca Raton... even the animals are tough, huh?
Well, it does look very much like Boca Raton, with the backyard waterway or lake, and the screened white-framed enclosure over the swimming pool. My partner's sister lives in Boca, maybe if this was fairly recent she might know more about the otter attack. I'll ask her when I pick her up at the airport tomorrow, Sunday.
The Boca women are certainly known as being tough, commonly referred to as "Boca Bitches." Old, many widowed, rich, their leathery skin ravaged by too much sun and too many facelifts, each and every one thinks she's entitled to more pampered acquiescence and obedience than the Queen of England.
God help the mere mortal who runs afoul of a Boca Bitch. Few live to tell the tale. If that otter encountered a true Boca Bitch, I have no doubt his pelt is now her trophy. If you need an image, think Cruella Deville.
