There's one big thing in my life that's been unsettled for several years. When I get past that challenge, I expect I'll be WAY happier.
Never the less, I've got it a lot better than most people, and I'd definitely consider myself happy.

TRDMRK saidi'm not 59 but i feel the same way. i think our way of live gets so constant that we begin to see things the same way and have no other things for comparison but just that we live in this country (some of us) is a blessing of it's own. i love my country. i love life and i'm happy to even be here chatting it up w all of youse. considering that i'm currently doing this, i wouldn't be spending my time right now doing anything else. so yes, cheers! icon_biggrin.gif

and you know what??? I not only love your hat ,,,,,but I think I love you.....Keithicon_cool.gif

And this quote I read in the paper this am"

" happiness is never achieving what we desire, but rather realizing what we have obtained"

Life's priorities seem to push sex down the list...except before I snooze at night when my hand forces me to fuck it.

I'd love to have a regular fuck/blow buddy. I just haven't had the time yet to find one here in SFO since I moved here. Been to busy with a number of different initiatives that will (hopefully) monetize soon.

    Hmmm. Maybe I should become a call-boy?

Meh. At age 45, nobody's going to rent an old man like me.

Well in all confessional righteousness, I have pried open the bottle of grape and indulged, but not to worry my brothers. this is a night of freedom...Alan, you are such a giving and loving spirit that it somewhat unsettles me to know such a wonderful spirit in the heart of gaydom without a devoted and loving mate.....to that I say emphatically.....fuck them for they know not what they miss............i still sit in awe of you .......Keithicon_cool.gif

Keith, as always your posts are inspiring.

At 46, there's lots I could be bitter or resentful about, but that's outweighed by all I can be thankful for. I make the choice each day about the direction I face - into the wind, or with the wind at my back.

And GAMRican - I'd happily rent/buy/borrow and old man who is just like you anyday.

At 38, I know that if I could create a body like GAMRican's for myself, the world would be perfect.

hahah! I wish! But I work towards a body like yours, GAMRican, in hopes one day I can truly say I feel 'healthy' and indeed, fucking happy to be alive . . .

I should be dead by now! I did crazy things. Drugs, drank like crazy, but no sex back then. AIDS came and went, but I was living in a convent, of sort,s as far as gay men went, living in snowy Canada, so I skipped that whole mess. Then I got normal and went organic. Did all the things they said I should do to avoid death and disease. I didn't get the condoms but I still fucked the bois. Several of those old friends are now HIV positive. Me? No! I didn't catch the plague. All that time I was eating the vegiitables and doing all the anti-cancer hell-no death won't catch me stuff. Then I got cancer. If that doesn't piss you off more than burning your morning toast, what does?
