While this article is probably way more positively biased than a scientist would agree with, it's actually a really interesting concept. With today's modern day world it is infinitely easier to raise a child and still contribute to the world, back in our evolutionary days that probably was not the case. With birth control and abstinence non-existent, it WOULD be necessary for some individuals to not have the burden of child-rearing. Interesting.

Holy cow, this guy is a survivalist living in the mountains, off the grid.

He has 5 years of food rations saved up in his personally handmade cabin.

You know it's also vital the the survival of man too, as homosexuals don't breed, thus this helps counter act all the irresponsible breeding that goes on the world over. How many men feel their sperm so precious they feel a need to pollute the earth with it, on more than one offspring.

'' For instance nature sees an inherent benefit to having an intelligent survival oriented group of humans unburdened by children lead society and drive the innovations needed for humanity to thrive in a hostile world. Evolution created Gays and Lesbians to fill this critical role ''

Totally agree. I always thought gays were gernerally more illtelligent/creative/leaders of industry/successful - on percentile average- and the minority within this population still have children/adopt, thus a integral step in our species' next psychological evolutionary step.

    Somehow....lol

One of the first things you learn in Biology is that
there is nothing that is replicated again and again that is not useful in some way or another in Evolutionary terms

This is why many spiders have the male of the species basically giving up their lives to reproduce
It might seem counterproductive but it serves a purpose
Blue Jays will have their Adult offspring hang around to help feed and protect the newer siblings
and biologists are finding that homosexuality itself has an evolutionary purpose

GQjock said biologists are finding that homosexuality itself has an evolutionary purpose

lol, its actually the other way around... everything in evolution has a purpose, or has had one in the evolutionary past... we don't "find out" that it has one... we simply sometimes do not know what it is...so it can take a while to figure out what it is sometimes ....it is a mistake in biology to claim a certain behaviour or organ is "purpose-less" just because the purpose is unknown.... biologists who claim otherwise are being influenced by human social pressure.... as they were in the case of homosexual sex, which in the past, due to reasons of human ethics, not animal, were labeled with all kinds of other names
