Could your pictures/info on here ruin your life?

I know there have been plenty of posts on here about guys who don't have face pictures and stuff, but I have kind of the opposite question....if the "wrong" person saw your profile on here or if someone recorded what you do in the adult forum and showed it to others who recognize you, could it ruin you?

Even if you are "out" do you ever worry about people in your life seeing your page and stuff you have posted? ( Do you know that you don't even have to have an account to see profiles - that the default setting is that anyone can see it without even signing in?)

Yes, I have creeped peoples adult pics at times and this question always comes up for me. I also chatted with a guy who had public face pics and adult nudes on here a few months ago yet wasn't out. I asked him if he was worried ever and he said he probably should be. The next day he had moved all his face pics to private and the day after his account was deleted all together. I was bummed as I feel maybe I scared him off.

with the employees looking towards the internet when the profile people then maybe you should be worried. However, that is why you have different email addresses so they cant check stupid stuff like this, or your facebook. What are your chances though of someone stumbling on this though? 1/10000000000000000
    000000000000000000000?

If someone is deliberately looking instead of just " stumbling " the chances would be much higher. From your posts, I envy you that you have never experienced a strong degree of homophobia at this point in your life. icon_wink.gif

No problems with anyone seeing any of my pics....most of the people that know me would look at the pics and say something along the lines of "CHRIST!...Get something more interesting!...and where are your nudes and the wild shit?" ...so no, my friends, coworkers and most acquaintances know that I am a nut and that I am WAY GAY!....LOL! icon_cool.gificon_eek.gificon_biggrin.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_razz.gificon_redface.gificon_lol.gificon_surprised.gif

From your guess, you are right on that. I dont tell people Im gay unless I want to and most people think Im straight cause of the way I talk. I play the straight card if someone would ask me that question just because I know it would be easier and I dont want to have the "conversation" with that person. icon_razz.gif

It's 2010. It still puzzles me that people are afraid to be open about their sexuality. Those are the people I disassociate with.

If an employer saw my RealJock profile. Who Gives a Fuck?

I can say this also now that I am my own employer, but perhaps some guys are sociodemographically challenged icon_wink.gif

I don't post any comments here that I'd be ashamed to let my family read. As for my photos, when I'm fat they're the first to tell me but when I look like this it's like hearing crickets chirp.

It just depends on what you do. Like it or not, people in many professions are constantly looking for ways to get a leg up, even if that means tearing someone else down. Someone simply finding out your are gay could have seriously consequences in the professional world. I mean, if you can accept that, by all means don't worry.

I'm only worried about people figuring out who I am because of my posts. I pretty much say whatever I want, and I'm sure I've said something by now that could cause a real headache.

Probably not, but I try to keep it classy online. I don't even have a facebook anymore because of the trouble it has gotten my friends into. I think a good rule of thumb, is don't do anything that would embarrass you in front of loved ones. What I mean is, if you wouldn't be comfortable showing your family the photos/info that you post on here, should you be posting it? I suppose it's fine if you're only looking for hookups, but I don't even want my friends to see risque photos of me.

Stumbling, no. But anyone knowing me and looking for me on the net could easily track me here if giving a bit of effort.

I'm out to everybody, so it's not about being being outed, it's about freedom to say my mind.
In forum, I say my mind, and share personal information, nothing I would not be able to tell to my partner or to close friends. It doesn't mean I'm willing to have persons that I don't know, or know little, or don't like but how know who I am, have access to personal information on me.

If I was here to date, I would put my face pic, but then I would have to filter the amount of information I can share.

Any way you turn it, information has power. Letting ill intentioned people have personal information on you is not smart move.

Thanks for the interesting responses guys. To clarify, I wasn't asking in the sense of people just finding out you were gay in general, but more specifically the "adult" pictures, the idea you are looking for a "hookup" on the web, things you post in the forums, do in the chat room etc.

Only if your life is surrounded by prudes.
Weed out the prudes (including prudish employers) and you'll be ok.
