What do you think about paw print tattoos? It's one of the only tattoos that I actually do like the look of. Is it too tacky/gay though? I was thinking of a shoulder one.

Yeah that's what's kinda making me have second thoughts, it does have a meaning for me though and I know how I'd want to go about it for the design etc, but then I see it on others and think that it would just look the same as theirs.

I like them, but they have to be a decent size, like the size of the animal you want to portray.

I've seen some and all I can think is what animal made that print, a Care Bear?

If you're looking for a public consensus on wether or not to get a particular tattoo, you should rethink the matter entirely. I think the process is a personal one and shouldn't be put to a vote by a bunch of strangers on the internet. Ask some friends or maybe some people you know that already have some body art.

Are you a "chaser" you know there is a meaning behind the paw print.
Personally I think they are a bit tacky. But thank god we live in "some what" of a free society. It is your body and you should do what makes you happy. Just remember it is more than just a hair cut or a new outfit. It is something that will be with you night and day.

He never implied it was a bear paw. For all we know it could be anything from a labrador to a possum print.

I would say go get the temporary version and wear it for a while. Then, if you like it, get the permanent version.

Personally though, I haven't found any tattoos I would want to take to the grave with me yet.

Yeah it will be a dog paw print, on my shoulder (as in, the top of the arm as opposed to shoulder blade) in black, probably about 2-3" diameter.

My small paw print really means something. My ex father in law was like my real dad and when he died me and my ex had matching paw tats done. His name was Ted and he was a burly pipefitter who marked all his tools with a little paw print. It is a memorial.

cold saidTo me, paw print isn't the most attractive tattoo - sorry Nick

Hey don't apologise, I asked for opinions! I realise it won't be to everyone's tastes, it's just something that has meaning for me and I think would suit me more than other tattoo designs.

I think if you are looking for approval from other guys to get it, then don't. Just because others might not like it, that shouldn't be a reason to deter you from getting it. Who cares if other have it if it still means something.

Allathlete saidI think if you are looking for approval from other guys on here of WHAT to get for a tattoo, then you shouldn't get one. You shouldn't get one to please others, you should get one because it means something to you.

second this. If u want it for u get it.
