These people are insane. The president wrote two autobiographies, released his birth certificate, and countless other documents. icon_rolleyes.gif

I saw this, I was so happy Anderson made this fool look as such. Not to mention I think a lot of this vapid hate and conspiracy theory is revealing innate racism.

Oh, I'm completely with you here. None of the Democratic candidates running against Obama during the primaries nor McCain/Palin after the nominations had the legal wherewithal to challenge his candidacy because they were inept and corrupt as well. That's why the smart people like you, this fellow and the horribly misunderstood Orly Taitz are the only ones who truly get it.

That and every inbred toad who listens to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Impressive company you keep.

I'm getting tired of Anderson Cooper. I see this same scenario too often on AC360. Anderson chases down something that really doesn't matter a whole lot or Anderson out-debates someone who has a fringe idea. I guess if journalism is a sport, then it might be entertaining. What is the point in winning an argument about Obama's citizenship on 11/29/2010?

    SPANK!

    I appreciated it.

The point is that this man is currently trying to create legislation that would force Obama (and all future presidents) to prove to him personally and to the Texas legislature that Obama (and all future presidents) are in fact US Citizens, which they have to do already in order to be elected.

Except it will have no effect on his Texas constituents, who are as bad as he is, and who will continue to reelect him. icon_razz.gif

I believe under the US Constitution the implied duty of validating eligibility (since I don't think it's specifically outlined) falls to the Electoral College. Individual voters, and the States, have no direct part in that process.

Under the Constitution, the President is elected by the Delegates to the Electoral College, not by you or me, nor by the States. What we actually vote for in a Presidential election are those Delegates, not directly for the President.

Another instance of Republicans not having the faintest clue how our US Constitution works. But willing to spout about it in ignorance.

Actually to be fair Bob, the majority of the constituency both Repub and Dems are guilty of this fact.

TRDMRK saidalso, found this a pdf file detailing basically the court's decision of a case where a man who is trying and has been for some time now, suing obama, even after the election, challenging his proof of citizenship. i'd also like to remind some of you guys that obama comes from the city of chicago.. where it's officials have been investigated and gov. rod blagojevich was taken into federal custody for trying to sell obama's seat on the senate to the highest bidder.. icon_idea.gif

What does that have to do with anything?

Do you really think Obama fooled the entire federal government when he ran for president? Do you think the CIA and FBI have been hoodwinked by the junior senator from Illinois? icon_rolleyes.gif

Does anyone else think that this law is stupid? This isn't the 1800's anymore. Why does the president have to be born in America? Are immigrants less American than I am? This seems like a pointless law to me.

Immigrants are dangerous and need to be prevented from taking public office.

They bring dangerous and un-American ideas to the table... like pragmatism, atheism and liberalism.

If you allow immigrants to take public office you end up in situations where republican governors speak out in favor of legalizing marijuana icon_eek.gif

I can't believe people are still wasting time questioning Obama's place of birth. We have so much bigger fish to fry. I'm glad Anderson Cooper takes the time to set the record straight.

Some republicans are stuck to their old agendas because they don't have a new one. They don't have a plan for economy or US stand in International domain. So they just try to gain attention for themselves by raising dead topics.
