I recently came across the 8x8 workout started years ago by Vince Gironda. The basic idea is 8 sets of 8 reps each with lightish weights.

It seems to be working, I was wondering if anyone else has had success with this type of workout and if so, what your workouts look like.

    Right now, mine is

Mon and Thu: Neck Press, Chins, Crunches
Tue and Fri: Laterals, Pressdowns, Drag Curls
Wed and Sat: Calves Raises, Ham Curls,Sissy Squats

I started out with a minute rest period between sets and I'm down to 35 seconds between sets and am looking for new exercises once I reach 15 seconds.

    Thanks guys

    Cheers, Matthew

It does work and it will help crank your metabolism up. Vince Gironda was a terror but also a real pioneer. A lot of "new" ideas turn out to be pretty old.

I love Vince. I have most every book or article he every wrote. He knew his stuff, but he was also locked into selling his own philosophy. Good for some, not great for others.

    Good luck!
