Temperature of the gym

What temperature do you guys like your workout area kept at? This is a constant debate that sometime gets into a heated argument at my gym. The group of guys who generally prefer it warmer do little working out of their bodies and much working out their tongues. What temperature makes you happy? And do you prefer the free weight and machine area warmer than the cardio area or the same temperature?

First half of the workout, really warm.
    Second half, slightly cooler.
Since I workout at home, this is entirely possible without having a bunch of nitwits bitching about it. icon_biggrin.gif

    The cooler the better.

In winter my gym is so cold that it hurts to hold the dumbbells and barbells. That's too cold. I feel warm from the workout, but I could work out harder if I could hold the equipment.

Seventy-ish. And I like my cardio about the same. If it's too cold, my ears start to ache. I don't mind sweating, but I do mind being cold.

definitely a litle on the cool side - like 67-68 or so. which is pretty easy up here in the high country, at my gym its all they can do to warm up the place to 65....

I love it warm, like 72+. My gym isn't that cold, but it would be nice if it was a little warmer...

I would rather have it a touch warmer than a bit too cold. Depends on if I'm just lifting weights or also there to run on the track too. Once you break a sweat, it doesn't matter that much but it can be a little uncomfortable to be on the chilly side in the beginning.

Well, I am a mammal and able to regulate my body temperature somewhat, so its all good. I've been keeping the home gym at 65 this winter, and it seems about right, once I get warmed up.

Definitely prefer lap pools on the cooler side. The best thing about a cool pool is that it keeps the loungers and those gawdawful screeching bobber classes out.
