    Vibram FiveFingers.

Saw a guy do a heavy workout in them tonight for the first time at the gym. . . he was storming between the stations at a fast clip, grunting and panting the whole time. . .

His were a kind of nubuck thing, so they looked sort of fuzzy. I broke a sweat. So now I'm a foot perv. . . WTF. . . where did that come from? icon_redface.gif

Malefeet, if you read this all I got to say is be forwarned. Stay away from anything with a pulse if you see them things on his feet. Stay far away. . .

I have those black ones. I use to just wear them for lunges and squats but now I wear them for all my workouts. They are lighter and smaller to carry around then my trainers. Just gotta watch out for where you drop your weights.

I did a double take the first time I saw a guy training in these, first because they looked like gorilla slippers, second because they reminded me of these types of cartoons given the disconnect of the huge torso tapering down to such itty bitty feet:

Btw, this subject was also discussed here: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/1229970/

    ...gorilla slippers...LOL !

i'm buying a pair finally next week . i bought myself some Mizuno Precision II shoes for running , esp. winter , but will also alternate with the 5f .
they also sell socks to fit into them.

and the skin used to make them is kangoroo. .. so they're great for rope skipping.

The weights being thrown down is the reason why i dont wear them, but they look hot on some guys...

So you wear the vibrams *and* a cut off t-shirt that shows off your nipples?

I love vibrams. I wear them for all of my athletic events including rock climbing and cliff diving. I even ran my last 10k in them. Hopefully boosting up to a half-marathon next year. For those of you against them, at sixty you'll be enjoying your damaged knees and i'll still be running.

Tell me more. Those skinny rubber soles appear to be really bad for your feet.

Obi Wan say "who is more the fool, the fool, or the fool that follows him?"

I wear mine and I constatly get the "what the fuck are those" even when I'm working in a store that sells them. So, I'd have to say they aren't as "wildy popular" as you might think.

Theres an argument going on with big wigs who run my base as to whether thy should be allowed on the fitness test.

I believe the argument started as saying they gave an unfair advantage, then it became how it isn't exactly within regs. Regardless, I say I think your at a disadvantage wearing them especially on trails were any thing could be in the road.

Not to mention doesn't your foot become harder/develops tougher skin after wearing these for an extended period. I'm not trying to be a prissy priss here but hard crusty feet aren't exactly comfortable in bed.
