Hey guys, still pretty new to Chicago and I'm interested in joining a team or checking out an open gym. I don't really know when the seasons start. I played some club vball in college but may be a little rusty. Can any one give me some more info.?

Chicago has one of the largest gay volleyball communities in the United States, with 3 gay sports associations running leagues year-round.

I tried looking under NAGVA- north american volleyball association to see if their were leagues posted for Chicago - unfortunately not. I typed in Gay Volleyball Chicago under google. Mostly what I found were old sites for the Gay Games. The clip I took up above is from one of the sites.

Good luck. I moved out to Vancouver a few years ago and was actually picked up off the street and asked if I wanted to play. I was looking for a league for at least a year prior to that. It's alot of fun and the tournaments are fun. People from all over have kept their friendships with other teams from across Canada and the US.

Hey....open gym Friday nights at the Broadway Armory...(Broadway and Thorndale) also Monday nights and the Center on Halsted (Halsted and Grace) above the Whole Foods. Sunday League just finished and the Tuesday night league (second session) starts tonight...You may still be able to get picked up...all teams show up to play one game tonight...kinda silly.
After this starts the Friday night 4's beach league up at Montrose...
