I just got back from a slow and steady 3.1 miles done in 32:31.

The exciting part is after having shin splints and what I was afraid might be Achilles tendonitis, I had no pain or tightness in my calves. Still going to ice and take the anti-inflammatory, just in case.
    Hoorah! 13.1 here I come...

Ran 6 miles on the indoor track. Ran the first 4 at a steady pace finishing in 26:30 which comes out to 6:38 mile pace. After a water break, I jogged 2 miles in just over 8:30 pace.

Ironically my jogging was faster than the sprinting some of the cops in training were doing. I love Mondays. I call it "Lap-a-Cop" day since the do fitness runs on the track. At least they are polite when I run by unlike the idiots that play basketball and just stand there in the outside and don't move every lap or the baseball players that felt the needs to poke fun at me as I ran by.

    Sorry, end of rant.

    Thanks!
    The half marry is 2/20/11.
I am still not running too far but was worried I was going to be sidelined longer.

Hey, Zox, could be worse - when I get to the gym I have to wait for a decent treadmill so the gum snapping chicks can finish their ultra-slow-walking regimens.

    Grrr.

This morning I biked 4 miles on a stationary, then ran 3 on a treadmill. Followed by some yoga. Felt good.

Well it felt worse because of the name calling and the fat coach sitting there not doing anything to get them to move or stop the idiocy.

Well guess when they take me as their instructor, fail, and sit out their season they might learn to act more like a man and not a little boy.
