I know there must be RJ members with some amazing places, or that have an interest in architecture & interior design, and I thought it would be neat to see how other RJ members live. Post your photos if you have 'em, and share your style with the rest of the community. icon_biggrin.gif

Very, very nice. You must be proud of yourself. I LOVE the master suite and the backyard and the dark furniture in one of the bedrooms.

    When am I moving in?

    Very nice looking place, nwphx!

I'd show you where I live, but first I have to take a scissors and cut the word "Kenmore" off the cardboard. I really don't mind the traffic noise overhead, and it's really convenient as to commuting.

Click the image above to see some pics of my humble little bachelor pad. icon_lol.gif There's still a lot of work to be done, but I finally got the pool finished after being in the house for 2 years. Just need to wait for the weather to warm up, and stay in shape for pool season. icon_smile.gif

I am going to be the Simon Cowell of this thread. I would have liked it better if it had just started out with "Let me show you my fantastic pad that I am so proud of." As is, it comes across as smarmy.

It is a fabulous house in my opinion...not sure I had to see the grill cover...but very much worth bragging about.

May you enjoy many happy times there!

I'm sorry you felt my post came across that way, it wasn't my intention at all--which is why I didn't reply to the specific comments about my home, because I didn't want it to be a thread about my house. In retrospect I guess I can see how it might come across a bit braggy, and I removed the link to my pics to try to encourage more discussion about other people's places, but there doesn't appear to be much interest in participation so far. icon_sad.gif

I started this thread because I am genuinely interested in architecture and decorating. Many of my free weekends have been spent touring model homes and getting decorating ideas, and I have a huge collection of brochures and floorplans that I plan to reference if/when I am ready to build a true custom home. I figured I couldn't be the only member on RJ with an active interest in the subject, and gays are portrayed by the media as being a pretty affluent group, so I was sure there were other members with nice places that could provide me with ideas. In fact, my home is rather subpar compared to many houses around here--and especially if you visit Scottsdale or Paradise Valley. I don't know a lot of gay people and haven't seen many other gay people's homes, so I thought this was a good way of doing so.

Again, my apologies if I came across as a showoff. The photos were not taken for the purpose of posting them on here; I shot them last year to share with distant friends & family, which is why you saw the BBQ cover.

Careful there nicensmooth, you don't know what you're in for. Besides, I can't legally work in the US so I'd never be able to work again...wait a minute...pick me up at the airport tomorrow!

Here is some of the inside.. And, yes, I collect a lot of old religious "art". I am not insane but sometimes my place makes me look as though I am. And my pictures aren't hung straight because I took these on the fly. I rarely straighten my pics anyways.. unless I am cleaning.

Is the Morgan's library comment good or bad?

Thanks for calling it beautiful, I honestly thought you guys would think it was a little crazy. My sisters won't bring their kids over because of the cross and the sketches of guys in jocks and paintings of topless women.
